Job Purpose:
Manage the Early Warning framework and ensure proper development of the early warning processes and ensuring timely identification of emerging risks. The role involves bridging strategic directives from the Head of Early Warning with the executional efforts of Senior Analysts and Analysts, driving actionable insights to protect the bank's consumer portfolio.
Job Description:
1.Guide the execution of the Early Warning framework, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analyses and reports.
2.Act as a liaison between the Head of Early Warning and the analytical team, translating strategic directives into actionable plans and monitoring their execution.
3.Monitor the effectiveness of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Early Warning Signals (EWS), ensuring their alignment with evolving portfolio dynamics.
4.Review and validate heatmaps, dashboards, and portfolio analyses prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
5.Lead the periodic review and refinement of Early Warning triggers to adapt to changes in customer behaviour and market conditions.
6.Manage the development and validation of predictive models, scenario analyses, and stress-testing frameworks.
7.Present consolidated findings and insights to the Risk management team, highlighting potential risks and recommending pre-emptive actions.
8.Ensure delivering actionable recommendations derived from behavioural, transactional, and macroeconomic data.
9.Work closely with the Policy, Collections, and Strategic Analytics Teams to integrate Early Warning insights into broader risk management practices.
10.Collaborate with IT and Data Science teams to enhance data accessibility, automation, and the efficiency of early warning tools.
11.Coordinate with the Collections Strategy team to develop preemptive action plans for high-risk segments.
12.Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Early Warning framework by identifying gaps, proposing new methodologies, and leveraging advanced analytics.
13.Support the Head of Early Warning in designing new risk mitigation strategies and operational initiatives.
14.Manage the emerged Unlikely to Pay portfolios, provide detailed analysis on accounts classifications and provide recommendations to allow faster and more effective management of those portfolios.

15.Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day-to-day management
16.Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Digital Lending Risk & Strategic Analytics department to ensure continuity of work.
Compliance
17.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Qualifications & Experience
·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
·Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Consumer Banking/ Business & Strategic Analytics or relevant fields
Skills
·Understanding of unsecured lending business.
·Proper product Knowledge of all Consumer Products.
·Project Management skills.
·Customer focus; strong record of achievement in applying a customer mind-set to shape solutions and approaches and to drive change/achieve business goals.
