Job Responsibilities – Production Engineer: Supervise and follow up on the production processes of sheet metal or granite cookware and ensure that production proceeds according to the approved production plan. Follow up on the various manufacturing stages, starting from raw material preparation and forming to assembly, finishing, and packaging. Monitor the operation of production lines and machinery to ensure target production rates are achieved. Prepare and follow up on daily and weekly production plans in coordination with the planning department. Distribute manpower across production lines and stages according to operational needs. Monitor product quality during manufacturing stages and coordinate with the Quality Control department to address any defects. Identify causes of production problems and defects, working to reduce scrap and rework rates. Monitor raw material consumption and scrap rates, working to minimize waste. Ensure materials and components are used according to approved specifications and work orders. Follow up on forming, cutting, punching, pressing, drawing, assembly, and finishing operations according to product type and production line. Follow up on painting, coating, and heat treatment operations, where applicable, ensuring adherence to specified temperatures and operating times. Monitor model and size changeovers on production lines to minimize setup time as much as possible. Coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and planning departments to ensure continuous production. Follow up on breakdowns and issues affecting production and coordinate with the maintenance department to take necessary actions. Prepare daily production reports and track actual production compared to targets. Analyze causes of low productivity or increased scrap and propose corrective and improvement actions. Apply occupational health and safety instructions and procedures within production areas. Ensure compliance with work instructions. Participate in developing and improving production methods, raising efficiency, and reducing costs. Contribute to testing new products and models and defining operational, material, and equipment requirements. Track production key performance indicators such as productivity, scrap rate, downtime, and line efficiency. Cooperate with management in solving production problems and improving labor and machine efficiency.
