Production Lines & Utility EquipmentPosition: Electrical Technician Department: Maintenance Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing Reporting To: Maintenance ManagerJob PurposeThe Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical and automation systems supporting production lines and utility equipment within a food and beverage manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance for production machinery and utility equipment.Diagnose and repair electrical faults, control circuits, sensors, motors, drives, contactors, relays, and control panels.Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and SCADA systems, including fault finding and basic program diagnostics.Perform electrical wiring, panel modifications, cable termination, and control-system connections.Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to the maintenance plan.Support breakdown response to minimize equipment downtime and production losses.Identify recurring electrical problems and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities.Ensure proper calibration, operation, and condition of electrical instruments and sensors.Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO requirements, and food & beverage manufacturing standards.Coordinate with mechanical and production teams during troubleshooting and equipment interventions.Maintain proper documentation of breakdowns, maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment conditions.Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement projects.Main Production EquipmentThe technician should be capable of working on and troubleshooting electrical and automation systems associated with:JBT CAN Fillers and SeamersKRONES PalletizersKRONES DepalletizersKRONES VARIOPACKRONES ConveyorsPlate PasteurizersTube PasteurizersAssociated motors, VFDs, sensors, control panels, instrumentation, and automation systems.Utility EquipmentThe technician will also support electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for plant utility systems, including:Boilers and associated control systemsPumps and motorsCompressorsWater treatment and pumping systemsCIP systemsUtility control panels and instrumentationOther electrical and automation equipment supporting the production processRequired Technical SkillsStrong practical experience in PLC troubleshooting and automation systems.Good knowledge of SCADA systems and HMI troubleshooting.Strong electrical wiring and control-panel experience.Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation.Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and control schematics.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.Ability to work effectively in a high-speed production environment.Knowledge of food & beverage production equipment and hygiene requirements is highly preferred.Candidate RecommendationThe candidate is strongly recommended for the Electrical Technician position.
