To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Senior Accountant

Job purpose:

Keeps the books of the group’s Indian entity complete and closed on time from Cairo: records costs and the cost-plus service revenue billed to the group, reconciles the balance sheet, prepares the group reporting pack and supports the local auditor and tax advisors for statutory and tax filings in India.

Acts as the finance link between India management, KSA finance and Group Finance

Responsibilities:

• Own the monthly close and general ledger of the Group's Indian entity, ensuring the books are complete, accurate and closed on time.
• Record and bill the entity's cost-plus service revenue to the Group and reconcile the related intercompany balances.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and provisions and clear reconciling items each month.
• Prepare the monthly reporting pack to Group Finance.
• Prepare the statutory financial statements (March year-end) and support the local auditor through the audit.
• Coordinate with the local tax advisors in India to ensure tax filings are prepared and submitted on time.
• Act as the finance link between India management, the KSA finance team and Group Finance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of IFRS; exposure to Indian statutory reporting is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Very good SAP knowledge is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills in English and the ability to work with remote stakeholders.
• IFRS diploma is preferred.
• Experience in the Fintech/Financial Services industry is preferred.
