Role Description The Nursery French Teacher will provide French language instruction and support to nursery-aged children through age-appropriate, interactive lessons and activities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Qesm 1st 6 October and involves planning and delivering daily French sessions that promote listening, speaking, and early vocabulary acquisition in a playful classroom setting. The teacher will prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and visual aids; lead songs, games, and storytelling in French; and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and developmental stages. Responsibilities include monitoring children’s progress, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, collaborating with other teachers and staff, and communicating regularly with families about children’s learning and wellbeing. The role also includes participation in staff meetings, professional development, and school events, while consistently following nursery policies and safeguarding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong French language proficiency (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate clearly and patiently with young children.
• Experience working with nursery or early childhood age groups, with understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that incorporate songs, stories, play-based activities, and visual resources.
• Effective classroom management skills, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, administrators, and families.
• Relevant education or training in Early Childhood Education, Languages, Education, or a related field (degree, diploma, or recognized certification preferred).
• Commitment to child safeguarding, health and safety standards, and adherence to nursery policies and procedures.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude toward continuous learning and professional development.
