Company Description FourM for Trade, Manufacturing & Commercial Agencies, originally established in 1986 as El Zhour, is a pioneer in detergents and cosmetics within the Egyptian market. The company collaborates with leading global brands such as Henkel and Reckitt Benckiser and acts as a commercial agent for Unilever, Fine Hygienic Holdings, Dabur Amla, Sanita, and Pyramids Group. With extensive warehouses and stores across Cairo and Giza, FourM has a strong distribution network and is a primary supplier for major national entities, including the Egyptian Ministry of Interior and Al Ahly SC. Its factory in the 6th of October industrial zone manufactures a wide range of products, including contracted production for other corporations, and its cleaning products are used by the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Software Engineer role based in Nahya. The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end systems and internal applications that support trading, manufacturing, and distribution operations. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing and optimizing databases and APIs, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and improving system performance and reliability. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices and coding standards. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement of the company’s software ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and support the company's ERP system and business applications related to sales, inventory, procurement, distribution, and accounting.
2. Analyze software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
3. Gather business requirements from different departments and translate them into technical and software solutions.
4. Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, database procedures, and system customizations according to business requirements.
5. Design and improve reports and dashboards related to sales performance, stock movements, inventory levels, and branch operations.
6. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integration across different business systems.
7. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and system errors in coordination with the relevant departments.
8. Test software updates, system enhancements, and customizations before deployment to the live environment.
9. Manage user access and system permissions in accordance with approved authorization levels and information security policies.
10. Monitor database performance and coordinate database backup and recovery procedures with the responsible teams.
11. Provide advanced technical support to end users and train employees on the effective use of business applications.
12. Coordinate with ERP vendors, software providers, and external technical teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
13. Automate manual processes and recommend software solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce errors.
14. Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, change logs, and user guides.
15. Prepare periodic reports on system issues, development requests, completed enhancements, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in software systems, application support, or business systems development.
• Proven experience in commercial, trading, distribution, or multi-branch business environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and business processes related to sales, inventory, distribution, and accounting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience in report development, data analysis, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of programming languages and development tools relevant to the company's existing systems.
• Experience in requirements analysis, software testing, documentation, and system implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
