JOB TITLE

Housekeeping Supervisor | Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment | General Operations

ROLE SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning operations across the assigned VOX Cinema site to ensure a safe, clean, presentable, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. The role manages cleaning standards, supervises service providers, coordinates cleaning schedules, and supports operational excellence while maintaining uninterrupted cinema operations and customer experience.

ROLE PROFILE

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the cleaning team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness across the cinema.
• Lead, coach, and monitor cleaning teams to ensure performance objectives and service standards are achieved.
• Conduct regular inspections of all public areas, auditoriums, restrooms, back-of-house areas, and operational facilities.
• Develop and oversee cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned according to operational requirements and movie schedules.
• Ensure periodic deep cleaning plans are implemented for offices, projection rooms, storerooms, emergency exits, plant rooms, and other non-public areas.
• Maintain cleaning checklists for high-risk and high-traffic areas, ensuring compliance and completion.
• Monitor cleaning consumables and ensure adequate stock levels of chemicals, tissues, garbage bags, and related supplies.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and machinery are maintained in good working condition and report breakdowns when required.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and operational requirements.
• Manage cleaner rosters and workforce allocation to optimize productivity during weekdays, weekends, and peak trading periods.
• Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance contractors to ensure service quality and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify completion of cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Support pest control activities by coordinating site access and ensuring treatments are completed safely and effectively.
• Ensure all contractors follow VOX Cinemas policies, procedures, and safety requirements while on site.
• Maintain records of lost and found items and ensure proper reporting procedures are followed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cleanliness standards, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping, facilities, cleaning operations, or a related environment, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
• High School Certificate or equivalent qualification; additional certifications in housekeeping, facilities management, or health and safety are advantageous.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Good understanding of cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and safety standards.
• Ability to manage contractors, cleaning schedules, and operational priorities effectively.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and reporting tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced operational environment.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
