About the Opportunity

Battery Manufacturing Egypt (BME) is a landmark industrial venture established through a strategic partnership between MCV, the leading bus and commercial vehicle manufacturer in the Middle East & Africa, and CATL, the global leader in innovative zero-carbon and battery technologies (holding #1 global market share in EV batteries for 9 consecutive years).

We are seeking a high-caliber Electrical Engineer to standardize electrical installations, drive automation performance, and lead to advanced troubleshooting across our new battery manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Standardization & Commissioning: Oversee electrical installation, wiring, and programming standardization during on-site commissioning to ensure peak system reliability and safety.

• Control & Logic Frameworks: Develop solutions to enhance the performance of wire-drawing equipment and design control program logical frameworks.

• Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults, including Siemens PLC program optimization, upper computer fault handling, and pneumatic/air circuit issues.

• Automated Logistics & AGVs: Manage fault resolution and upgrades for automated logistics lines, AGVs, and stacker cranes.

• Talent & Process Development: Build and implement training plans for the ME operations team to cultivate internal technical capabilities in electrical control.

• Continuous Improvement: Manage daily electrical tasks while driving innovation and implementing suggestion improvement systems.
  
  Technical Skills & Competencies
  

  • PLC & Automation: Mastery in Siemens S7-300 / S7-400 / S7-1500 PLC programming, logic design, and industrial automation commissioning.

  • Industrial Communication: Strong command of serial communication, Modbus, S7, and OPC (UA) protocol encapsulation and application.

  • Logistics Automation: Solid knowledge of intelligent logistics systems, AGVs, and electrical diagram design.

  • Problem-Solving & Systems: Excellent structured thinking for complex troubleshooting, along with familiarity with equipment maintenance management software (CMMS).

  • Adaptability & Execution: Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-cultural project environments with strong project management awareness.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1- 3 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Languages: Proficient in English (written and spoken).
