Role Summary

Responsible for the planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of rotating and mechanical equipment across water treatment, wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis, and water supply installations, ensuring maximum reliability and performance of client assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs: annual PM schedules, maintenance checklists, inspection intervals, and resource planning for all rotating equipment
• Maintain, overhaul, and repair: high-pressure RO pumps (HPP), turbochargers/energy recovery devices, water supply pumps, submersible sewage pumps, blowers, aerators, submersible mixers, and related mechanical equipment
• Perform complete pump overhauls: dismantling, inspection, replacement of seals, bearings, wear rings, and impellers, reassembly, alignment, and commissioning
• Diagnose mechanical failures (cavitation, seal/bearing failure, misalignment, impeller wear) and identify root causes
• Conduct condition monitoring (vibration, temperature, performance testing) and track equipment against OEM curves
• Execute planned O&M site visits and respond to emergency breakdowns
• Prepare service reports, spare parts lists, and maintenance recommendations; train site operators
• Coordinate with Technical Office and OEM factories on spares, warranties, and repair procedures

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on rotating equipment maintenance experience, preferably in water/wastewater, desalination, or water supply
• Proven field experience in pump overhauls; HPP/ERD and submersible pump experience strongly preferred
• Experience building and managing PM/PdM plans and schedules (CMMS experience is a plus)
• Solid knowledge of pump hydraulics (curves, affinity laws, NPSH, cavitation), mechanical seals, bearings, and alignment
• Willingness to travel frequently to sites across Egypt
