Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Cairo. The pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, and provide clear counseling to patients about proper use, side effects, and interactions. Daily responsibilities include managing medication inventory, checking expiry dates, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and university policies. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, documenting interventions, and supporting clinical and educational initiatives within the university. The pharmacist will also contribute to patient education campaigns, mentor pharmacy students, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions, with the ability to apply clinical guidelines in daily practice.
• Proficiency in prescription processing, medication dispensing, and use of pharmacy information systems or related software.
• Effective communication and counseling skills for engaging patients, students, and healthcare professionals in a clear, respectful manner.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and adherence to ethical standards, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and handle a steady workflow in a busy setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or PharmD) from an accredited institution and valid pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Egypt.
• Previous experience in community, hospital, or academic pharmacy is an advantage; experience with university or teaching environments is a plus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to participating in teaching, research, or quality improvement activities.
