DNA Nexus Distribution is seeking a creative, meticulous and highly organized pharmacist to develop commercially viable products from initial concept through market readiness.

Formulation and product development will be the position’s primary focus. The successful candidate will also provide selected packaging, regulatory, sourcing and supply-chain support directly connected to assigned development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

• Develop and optimize cosmetics, personal-care products, food supplements and functional foods, including protein bars, powders, tablets and capsules.

• Conduct formulation trials and compounding, coordinate required laboratory testing, troubleshoot technical issues and recommend improvements.

• Evaluate active ingredients, excipients and raw materials for functionality, compatibility, stability and suitability.

• Coordinate technical development and manufacturing transfer with approved laboratories and contract manufacturers.

Scientific Research

• Investigate scientific literature, patents, technical databases, supplier documentation and competing products.

• Locate and assess reliable information that may not be readily available.

• Compare technologies and product alternatives and prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Packaging

• Assess primary and secondary packaging for compatibility, functionality, quality and practicality.

• Coordinate specifications, samples and technical requirements with packaging suppliers.

Suppliers and Manufacturers

• Communicate with international suppliers, manufacturers, laboratories and other technical stakeholders.

• Request and evaluate samples, quotations, specifications, certificates and supporting documentation.

• Source and assess suitable ingredients and manufacturing solutions.

Regulatory and Project Support

• Assist with product classification, registration, permitted claims, importation and compliance requirements.

• Review technical and regulatory documentation for completeness, consistency and accuracy.

• Maintain organized records and monitor projects, samples, deadlines and supplier commitments.

• Support related purchasing, logistics and supply-chain activities when assigned.

Requirements

• • Licensed pharmacist registered to practise in Egypt.

  • Three to five years of relevant formulation or product-development experience, including hands-on compounding experience.

  • Strong written and spoken English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Own car and valid driving licence.

  • Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.

  • Ability to respond occasionally outside regular working hours or on weekends when an urgent project or supplier requirement genuinely demands it.
