Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify defects, improve workflows, and champion a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Perform rigorous manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects in a bug-tracking system, working collaboratively with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain scalable automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.
• Analyze production logs and user feedback to identify areas for system improvement and risk mitigation.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the refinement of quality assurance processes and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in both manual testing methodologies and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database management for data validation and test setup.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to cross-functional teams clearly.
