Role Description The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for overseeing mechanical works on construction projects from planning through execution and handover. This role includes supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and any relevant mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards. The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer coordinates daily with project managers, other discipline engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, manage schedules, and support resource planning. Typical tasks involve reviewing drawings and technical documents, inspecting work quality, identifying and addressing defects, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams. The role also includes managing preventive and corrective maintenance plans during project closeout, preparing progress reports, and contributing to risk assessments and method statements.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in mechanical systems on construction sites.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for reviewing, updating, and coordinating mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience in Maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
• Proven Inspection skills to assess installation quality, verify compliance with standards, and document findings clearly.
• Exposure to Automotive or related mechanical equipment systems is beneficial for projects involving vehicles or specialized machinery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in a senior or lead site engineering role within construction or industrial projects, preferably in the MENA region.
• Knowledge of relevant international and local mechanical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under project deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide site teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
