Company Description iCode Academy supports students, graduates, and career changers in building practical skills in software development and design. The academy offers programs in Mobile Development, Full Stack Web Development, Software Testing & QA, UI/UX Design, and standalone programming courses. Mobile Development is the flagship focus, with specialized tracks in Flutter, React Native, Native Android, and Native iOS. Programs are available online and on-site in Alexandria, with guidance provided to help each learner choose the most suitable path.

Role Description The Software Instructor will deliver structured lessons and practical labs across one or more of iCode Academy’s tracks, such as mobile development, full stack web, software testing, or UI/UX design. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, teaching classes, guiding learners through projects, and offering individualized feedback and mentorship. The instructor will support learners in building portfolios, understanding industry best practices, and preparing for technical interviews or entry-level roles. This role also involves collaborating with the academy team to refine curricula based on learner outcomes and industry trends. This is an on-site role located in Alexandria.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in at least one programming or development area (e.g., mobile development with Flutter/React Native/Native Android/Native iOS, or full stack web development).
• Experience with software development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, and documenting code.
• Ability to design and deliver clear, structured lessons and hands-on activities for learners with varying levels of experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with a learner-focused and inclusive teaching approach.
• Prior experience in teaching, training, or technical coaching is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles or QA/testing workflows is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Alexandria and collaborate with the academy team on curriculum and learner support.
