Role Description The Senior Light Current Engineer will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of low current and security systems for complex projects in sectors such as utilities, telecom, and real estate. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing client requirements, preparing detailed system designs and technical documentation, reviewing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely and quality delivery. The role involves on-site supervision of installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing configurations to meet performance, safety, and budget targets. The engineer will collaborate with suppliers and partners, support technical evaluations, and contribute to continuous improvement of standards, methodologies, and solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo.
Qualifications

• Strong competence in low current systems design and engineering, including security, surveillance, access control, and related IT-based solutions.
• Experience in project execution for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure environments, ideally within utilities, telecom, oil & gas, or real estate sectors.
• Proficiency in reading and producing technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using relevant engineering and CAD tools.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, cabling standards, and integration between physical security systems and IT infrastructure.
• Ability to conduct site surveys, perform system testing and commissioning, and troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
• Familiarity with international and local standards, safety regulations, and best practices in low current and security systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or a related field; advanced certifications in security or low current systems are an advantage.
