Role Description The Geophysicist role at Petrosalam is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Geophysicist will be responsible for planning, executing, and interpreting geophysical surveys to support exploration, field development, and reservoir characterization in offshore environments. Day-to-day activities include acquiring and processing geophysical and related subsurface data, integrating seismic and geological information, and generating technical interpretations and recommendations for drilling and production teams. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, preparation of technical reports and presentations, and participation in project reviews and planning sessions. The Geophysicist will also contribute to continuous improvement in data quality, workflows, and technologies while adhering to Petrosalam’s HSE and operational standards.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Geophysics and Geophysical Surveys, with experience applying these skills in exploration and field development.
• Candidates should possess solid skills in Geophysical Data Processing and general Data Processing, including handling large datasets and applying appropriate processing workflows.
• Candidates should possess practical experience in Data Acquisition, including survey design, quality control, and coordination with field crews and service providers.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Experience in offshore oil and gas operations, seismic interpretation software, and subsurface modeling tools is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear technical communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to HSE principles, attention to detail, and willingness to participate in field visits and operational reviews as required.
