Operations General Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt | Regular field visits
Employer: Dana Petroleum
Assignment: Secondment to PetroNefertiti Joint Operating Company
Dana Petroleum is seeking an experienced Operations General Manager to lead the Operations of an Egyptian onshore oil and gas joint operating company.
The role is responsible for providing strong operational leadership and ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective asset performance, with oversight of production, field operations, maintenance, operational planning, budgets, HSE, asset integrity and organizational capability.
The successful candidate will also work closely with JV management and partners and represent Dana’s technical and commercial interests within the applicable governance and delegated authority.
Key Requirements:
- Experience with EGPC or a government-owned oil & gas company is preferred.
- Extensive upstream oil & gas experience, with strong onshore operations experience.
- Proven senior management and multidisciplinary team leadership experience.
- Strong background in production, maintenance, asset integrity and wells/field operations.
- Experience in business planning, budgets, field development and investment evaluation.
- Experience in a JV or partner-operated environment is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
This is a senior leadership position requiring sound judgement, strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational performance with long-term asset value.
