The Sukari Mine is located approximately 750 km from Cairo and 25 km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea coast. The first gold pour occurred in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country that has historically been a prolific producer of the precious metal. The Sukari Mine operates both open-pit and underground mining operations, with each method utilizing specialized mining techniques tailored to the characteristics of the ore body and operational requirements.Role OverviewAngloGold Ashanti is seeking an LV Electrician for the Sukari Mine to perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities on a shift-by-shift basis safely and effectively. The primary responsibility of the role is to execute maintenance work while adhering to required quality standards and company expectations, ensuring equipment reliability and availability. The LV Electrician works within the mobile equipment maintenance team, supporting safe execution of work, fault finding, testing and commissioning, accurate maintenance reporting, and active participation in safety and improvement initiatives.Location: EgyptContract Type: PermanentWork Schedule (Roster): 20 days on / 10 days offKey Responsibilities

• Equipment Inspection: Conducting checks and identifying corrective work before breakdowns occur.
• Work Prioritization: Ensuring identified work is prioritized based on potential Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) risks and equipment availability.
• Safe Maintenance Execution: Confirming task requirements and hazards before starting, and complying with permits, isolations, risk assessments, and site requirements.
• Task Preparation and Completion: Collecting required tools and equipment, then completing the assigned work safely, effectively, and on time.
• Equipment Testing and Commissioning: Verifying fault repairs and returning machinery to a serviceable state.
• Record Keeping and Cleanliness: Completing maintenance documentation to the required standard, reporting damaged or missing tools, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
• Supporting Team Improvement: Participating in training, safety meetings, and improvement initiatives as directed.

Requirements and Conditions

• Certification in Auto-Electrical.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 12 months post-qualification experience in the automotive, heavy equipment, or construction sector.
• Ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery and equipment.
• Understanding of Caterpillar equipment and systems.
• Ability to identify hazards and conduct risk assessments.
• Ability to read and interpret workshop manuals and schematic drawings.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and write in Arabic; English proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly.
