About the Role
WE’RE HIRING | SENIOR INTERIOR ENGINEER We are looking for an experienced Interior Engineer with strong design, technical coordination and site-execution skills to deliver interior projects from concept through completion.
Qualifications
- Qualifications & Experience
- 8–20 years of relevant experience in interior design, fit-out, and finishing works.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Faculty of Fine Arts graduates, particularly Interior Design or Décor majors, are preferred.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating completed projects, technical detailing and quality execution.
- Experience in hotels, resorts, hospitality or high-end residential projects is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Technical & Professional Requirements
- Ability to develop and review space plans, layouts, working drawings, shop drawings and detailed finishing packages.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, joinery, furniture, lighting, specifications and installation methods.
- Experience preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQs), material schedules, cost estimates and supplier submissions.
- Ability to coordinate interior works with architectural, structural and MEP teams, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing and fire-safety requirements.
- Proven capability in site supervision, quality control, contractor coordination, snagging and project handover.
- Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, accessibility and applicable building requirements.
- Effective communication, problem-solving and team-leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Preference Software Skills
- AutoCAD: advanced proficiency in technical drawings and detailing.
- 3ds Max or SketchUp: proficiency in 3D modelling, supported by V-Ray, Corona or an equivalent rendering tool.
- Adobe Photoshop: proficiency in presentations, material boards, and visual editing.
- Microsoft Excel: proficiency in BOQs, schedules, cost tracking and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Revit/BIM coordination and Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software is an advantage.
