About NUT Botanicals

NUT Botanicals is an Egyptian skincare brand for sensitive and acne-prone skin, founded by three sisters. We sell online at nutbotanicals.com and through pharmacies, distributors and marketplaces including Amazon, Noon and El Ezaby. After strong growth over the past two years, we're building our finance team for the next stage.

About the role

You'll own NUT's books end to end and lead a team of two accountants (operations, and cash in and out). You report directly to the founders and work with our external accounting office on reviews, tax filings and the annual audit. It's a hands-on role in a growing company: you'll build processes as much as you run them.

Key responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and chart of accounts on Zoho Books, and close the month within 5 working days
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and budget-vs-actual reports for the founders
• Review and approve the work of the operations and cash accountants, including bank, courier and payment gateway reconciliations
• Prepare and file VAT returns (Form 10) and withholding tax (Form 41), and keep e-invoicing and e-receipts compliant with the Egyptian Tax Authority
• Manage payroll tax and social insurance compliance
• Build the 13-week cash flow forecast and the annual budget with the founders
• Analyze profitability by channel (online, B2B wholesale, marketplaces) and by product and bundle
• Own inventory valuation and COGS across our warehouse, our 3PL and consignment stock at retail partners, and lead quarterly and year-end stock counts
• Coordinate with our external accounting office on monthly reviews, tax filings and the audited annual financial statements
• Strengthen internal controls and document accounting procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Faculty of Commerce or equivalent)
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years running month-end close and preparing full financial statements
• Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, pharma distribution, retail or e-commerce
• Hands-on knowledge of Egyptian tax: VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing and e-receipts, payroll tax and social insurance
• Inventory and cost accounting experience (COGS, stock valuation, stock counts)
• Experience with a cloud accounting system or ERP (Zoho Books preferred; Odoo, SAP or Oracle accepted)
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, financial models)
• Experience supervising or reviewing other accountants' work
• Good written and spoken English; native Arabic

A Plus to Have:

• E-commerce experience with COD collections, courier settlements or payment gateways
• Consignment or marketplace accounting (Amazon, Noon, pharmacy chains)
• A professional certificate (CMA, ACCA or CPA), completed or in progress
• Experience working with an external auditor
