Role overview

We are hiring a Senior Manual Tester to own functional quality on our Odoo ERP implementation. You will validate business flows end to end across Odoo modules, from requirements through UAT and go-live, and guide junior testers along the way.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specs and user stories, and flag gaps or ambiguities early with the BA and functional consultants.
• Build the test strategy and test plan for each Odoo release, sprint or rollout phase.
• Design and maintain test scenarios, test cases and test data covering core modules
• Test end-to-end business flows across modules
• Verify configuration and customization: access rights and user roles, multi-company and multi-currency setups, taxes, workflows, reports and printed documents.
• Test integrations and data: data migration and imports, third-party integrations
• Run functional, integration, regression, smoke and sanity testing, plus UI and cross-browser checks.
• Log, track and retest defects in Jira (or similar) with clear repro steps, severity and evidence.
• Plan and support UAT with key users, prepare UAT scripts and track sign-off.
• Validate Odoo version upgrades and new module rollouts with focused regression.
• Report test progress, coverage and quality metrics to the project manager and stakeholders.
• Review the work of junior testers, mentor them and help raise QA practices on the team.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on manual testing experience.
• 1+ year testing Odoo, or another ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) with strong willingness to ramp up on Odoo quickly. (Preferred)
• Strong command of testing fundamentals: SDLC/STLC, test design techniques (boundary values, equivalence partitioning, decision tables) and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams and tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to write clear, reusable test cases and well-documented bug reports.
• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification.
• Odoo Functional Certification, or hands-on Odoo configuration experience (Community and Enterprise).
• Experience testing Odoo version upgrades (e.g. v16 → v17 → v18).
• API testing with Postman for Odoo integrations (XML-RPC / JSON-RPC / REST).

• Comfortable mentoring others and working under release deadlines.
