Role Description The Senior Technical Office Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering documentation and technical coordination for electromechanical projects. This full-time, on-site role in Cairo, Egypt includes reviewing and preparing shop drawings, coordinating with civil and electrical teams, and ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards. The engineer will prepare and verify BOQs, support quantity surveying activities, and provide technical support to project sites. Daily tasks also include resolving design issues, assisting in value engineering, preparing reports, and participating in internal and external technical meetings to support project delivery.
Qualifications

• Ability to prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Strong experience with BOQ preparation, verification, and cost-related documentation for mechanical works.
• Familiarity with civil engineering aspects relevant to electromechanical coordination and integration.
• Understanding of electrical engineering interfaces and coordination requirements in multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience in quantity surveying related to mechanical works, including measurements, take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and adherence to standards and safety regulations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prior experience in electromechanical projects or construction industry in a similar senior technical office role is highly preferred.
