Role Description The Planning and Cost Control Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Nozha. This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules and budgets across various construction and fit-out projects. Daily tasks include preparing and updating project schedules, tracking progress against milestones, analyzing resource allocation, and identifying potential delays or cost overruns. The role also involves developing and maintaining cost control systems, preparing cost reports and forecasts, reviewing subcontractor and supplier claims, and supporting management in decision-making with accurate project data. The Planning and Cost Control Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with PCP’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and manage project schedules using planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, cost estimation, and financial tracking for construction or fit-out projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project data, identify risks, and propose practical solutions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of contract administration, change management, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams and present clear updates to management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; prior experience in planning or cost control within the construction industry is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
