Primary Job Responsibilities for Waiter/Waitress• Reception and Guidance: Greeting customers with a smile upon their arrival and guiding them to appropriate tables.• Presenting Menus and Explanations: Providing food and beverage menus, explaining items, and offering suggestions or special recommendations to guests.• Taking Orders Accurately: Carefully recording food and beverage orders (via electronic POS devices or notebooks) and transmitting them immediately to the kitchen or bar.• Serving Food and Drink: Bringing dishes and drinks from the kitchen to the tables in an organized and quick manner, and ensuring the accuracy of the order.• Monitoring Customer Satisfaction: Periodically checking tables (within minutes of serving the meal) to ensure guest satisfaction and fulfilling any additional requests.• Managing Accounts and Bills: Preparing bills, collecting payments, or directing the customer to the cashier according to the venue's system.• Cleaning and Preparing Tables: Setting up and arranging tables before customers arrive, and cleaning and sanitizing them after they depart.• Troubleshooting and Complaints: Dealing calmly and politely with any feedback or complaints from customers, and informing the supervisor (Captain or Head Waiter) when needed.
