Role Description The Senior Reservations role at Marbya Tours is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for managing and confirming travel reservations, including accommodations, transportation, and tour packages, while ensuring accuracy in pricing, availability, and booking details. The Senior Reservations specialist responds to customer inquiries, provides recommendations, and supports sales by preparing quotations and converting leads into confirmed bookings. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with suppliers, updating reservation systems, resolving booking issues, and maintaining clear records for all transactions. The role also involves guiding and supporting junior team members, sharing best practices, and contributing to process improvements for the reservations function.

Qualifications

• Strong reservations and booking management skills, including experience working with reservation systems and travel itineraries.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact clearly with customers, colleagues, and partners.
• Proven customer service skills, with a focus on problem-solving, responsiveness, and maintaining a professional, courteous approach.
• Sales acumen, including experience converting inquiries into confirmed bookings and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
• Experience providing training or mentorship to team members, sharing knowledge, and supporting ongoing skill development.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple reservations and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with standard office software and reservation platforms; familiarity with travel industry tools is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in the travel or tourism sector; previous work in a reservation or booking role is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
