Purpose

Define practical, secure, and scalable solution architectures across SuperPay’s Billing, Acceptance, and Enterprise teams. Combine hands-on design with cross-team technical guidance, helping teams make sound technical decisions and address integration and architectural risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into solution designs, system components, and integration flows.
• Provide architecture guidance and review technical designs across all technology teams.
• Establish and promote consistent architecture principles, API design standards, and technical documentation.
• Identify cross-team dependencies, technical risks, and opportunities to simplify or improve existing systems.
• Work closely with engineering, product, business analysis, operations, and security stakeholders.
• Facilitate technical decisions across teams, escalating unresolved architectural disagreements or significant risks to the CTO.
• Participate in technical investigations and proof-of-concept development when needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software or systems engineering experience, including 3+ years in solution architecture.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns, databases, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical designs and explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience guiding engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payment gateways, merchant acceptance, billing, or transaction-processing systems.
• Familiarity with payment flows, idempotency, reconciliation, retries, and failure handling.
• Experience establishing architecture practices in a growing engineering organization.
• Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot architectures, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience designing integrations across heterogeneous systems, including WSO2 and PHP-based applications.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with mobile application architectures across Android, iOS, and Flutter.
