We are looking for a skilled Virtualization Administrator Specialist to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise virtualization environments, with a primary focus on VMware, Citrix, and Citrix NetScaler technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in virtualization infrastructure administration, application and desktop virtualization (VDI), infrastructure security hardening, and technical troubleshooting. Experience with additional platforms such as Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Microsoft Hyper-V is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Virtualization Administration: Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot virtualized environments, primarily VMware and Citrix NetScaler, ensuring high availability, performance, and stability.
• Infrastructure Design and Deployment: Design, implement, and deploy virtualization infrastructure components across VMware, OpenShift, Nutanix, Citrix, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), based on client requirements and technical specifications.
• VDI and Application Virtualization: Configure, administer, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenApp and XenDesktop), including application delivery, desktop virtualization, and VDI environments.
• Infrastructure Upgrades: Develop and implement upgrade and migration strategies for Nutanix, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler, and related infrastructure components.
• Client Onboarding and Configuration: Support the setup, configuration, and integration of new and existing client environments, ensuring seamless deployment and operational readiness.
• Citrix Policy Management: Administer and maintain Citrix policies, including user profile management, folder redirection, and related user environment configurations.
• Nutanix File Services: Manage and administer Nutanix file shares supporting VDI users, ensuring appropriate access controls, availability, and performance.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues, analyze system errors and logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Vendor and Third-Party Coordination: Open, manage, and follow up on technical support cases with vendors and third-party providers, including VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix, Citrix, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, as required.
• Security and Hardening: Implement server and infrastructure hardening measures in accordance with organizational security policies, industry best practices, and applicable technical standards.
• Service Delivery and SLA Compliance: Ensure all services are delivered within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), meeting defined quality, availability, and scope requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure change records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise virtualization environments, particularly VMware and Citrix technologies.
• Practical experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), VDI environments, and Citrix policy administration.
• Experience supporting Citrix NetScaler / ADC environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security hardening, access controls, and operational best practices.
• Experience working with technical support teams, vendors, and third-party service providers.
• Understanding of IT service management principles, incident management, change management, and SLA-driven service delivery.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities.
