A swimming pool installation technician is required with knowledge of both:

• Plumbing network foundation (hydraulic mechanics): Laying out pool supply and drainage piping networks. Distributing inlets, suction points such as the vacuum and floor drains, and installing the Overflow system or Skimmer system according to the design.
• Equipment room and pump installation: Installing and connecting suction and pressure pumps, and purification filters (such as sand or diatomite filters). Installing heaters or boilers for indoor or winter pools.
• Electrical foundation and lighting: Extending cables and installing submersible LED lighting fixtures designed for water, and connecting them to step-down transformers to ensure complete safety and prevent electric shock.
• Control and operating panel installation: Assembling and installing electrical panels that control the operating schedules of filters, pumps, and the automatic programmed timer.
• Insulation and pressure testing: Conducting advanced pressure tests on the piping network to ensure there are no leaks underground or in the concrete before the final finishing stage, and assisting in supervising the insulation of the pool body.
• Accessory installation and initial startup: Installing steel ladders, waterfalls, fountains, starting the backwash cycle, and pumping water while adjusting initial chemical levels.
• Reading engineering drawings for pools: Accurately understanding Shop Drawings, piping paths, and mechanical room locations.
• High-pressure piping (UPVC) welding: Proficiency in using adhesives and chemical materials designated for welding high-pressure pipes (thick gray pipes) to prevent any future leaks under the pressure of the pumps.
• Simple hydraulic calculations: Knowing how to select the appropriate pump capacity and filter size for the swimming pool volume (in cubic meters) to ensure full water circulation and cleaning every few hours.
• Water treatment and pool chemistry: Proficiency in measuring and balancing the water pH level and chlorine ratio, and safely handling acids and chemicals to prevent algae formation or damage to swimmers' skin.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting: Ability to detect pump malfunctions (such as air entering the network), clogged filters, hidden water leaks, and electrical panel failures.
