Role Description The Senior QS Engineer role at Atrium Quality Contractors is a full-time, on-site position based in New Cairo. The person in this role will lead quantity surveying activities, including preparing and reviewing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents for complex construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include validating measurements, tracking project costs against budgets, managing variations and change orders, and supporting contract administration and claims. The Senior QS Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost control, timely payment certifications, and alignment with contractual requirements. This role also involves contributing to value engineering, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of cost management processes across Atrium’s portfolio of projects.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in quantity surveying, including preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation for large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in measurement and cost control tools (e.g., QS software, Excel) and familiarity with relevant construction standards and methods of measurement.
• Experience in contract administration, including handling variations, claims, change orders, and payment certifications.
• Solid understanding of civil, architectural, and electromechanical works and their cost drivers in commercial, hospitality, and residential projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Several years of relevant experience in a senior or lead QS role with general contractors or major developers, ideally on complex or mega projects.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cost reporting.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working with multidisciplinary teams on-site and in the office.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under time constraints, and adapt to evolving project requirements and organizational standards.
