Position Overview
BlueDez Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Structural Steel Design Engineer to support and oversee daily engineering operations. This role is ideal for a senior structural professional with strong technical expertise in structural steel design who is looking for a flexible leadership position.
The ideal candidate will combine deep engineering knowledge with organizational and operational management skills to ensure efficient project execution and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural steel design calculations, connection designs, and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards (AISC, IBC, ASCE, etc.).
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Structural Steel Design.
- Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, and related standards.
- Experience with connection design and steel detailing coordination.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, STAAD, ETABS, or similar).
- Experience with Tekla Structure is preferred
- Strong leadership and English communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with steel fabricators and industrial projects.
- Familiarity with estimating and proposal development.
