Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our engineering consultancy team. The successful candidate will lead interior design projects from concept development through detailed design and construction documentation, ensuring high-quality, functional, and aesthetically compelling solutions that comply with project requirements, applicable codes, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of interior design concepts, space planning, and design schemes for commercial, hospitality, residential, healthcare, and other building projects.

  
  

• Prepare and review concept designs, mood boards, material palettes, color schemes, furniture layouts, and finish schedules.

  
  

• Develop detailed interior design drawings, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, and finishing details.

  
  

• Produce and coordinate 3D interior models using Autodesk Revit and ensure compliance with BIM standards and project requirements.

  
  

• Prepare design presentations, material boards, and visualizations to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.

  
  

• Select and specify interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and decorative elements in line with project budgets and design intent.

  
  

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design interfaces and clashes.

  
  

• Review technical submittals, material samples, shop drawings, and mock-ups to ensure compliance with approved design specifications.

  
  

• Conduct design reviews and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all deliverables.

  
  

• Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and technical coordination meetings.

  
  

• Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections, responding to RFIs, and resolving design-related issues.

  
  

• Mentor junior designers and oversee the quality of work produced by the interior design team.

  
  

• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of design packages.

  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

  
  

• 10+ years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably within an engineering consultancy firm.

  
  

• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed interior design projects across relevant sectors.

  
  

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including interior modeling, detailing, documentation, and BIM coordination.

  
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 3D visualization tools such as 3ds Max, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, or equivalent.

  
  

• Strong knowledge of interior design materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.

  
  

• Experience preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material schedules.

  
  

• Understanding of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, fire and life safety considerations, and local regulations.

  
  

• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and reviewing contractor shop drawings.

  
  

• Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

  
  

• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
