Role Description The Supervisor Steward role is a full-time, on-site position based at Balagio Beach Hotel in Hurghada. The Supervisor Steward is responsible for overseeing the stewarding team to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of all kitchen and back-of-house areas, including dishwashing stations, storage rooms, and waste-handling zones. Daily tasks include assigning duties, monitoring cleaning schedules, checking equipment operation, and enforcing hygiene and safety standards. The role also involves coordinating with kitchen and restaurant staff to support smooth service, managing inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The Supervisor Steward provides guidance and training to team members, supports performance reviews, and helps implement hotel policies and procedures to maintain efficient operations.
Qualifications

• Experience in stewarding or kitchen operations supervision, preferably in hotels or resorts.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices in back-of-house environments.
• Ability to organize shifts, allocate tasks, and monitor performance of a diverse team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with culinary and service teams.
• Basic understanding of equipment handling, cleaning procedures, and chemical safety.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work on-site in Hurghada in a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience in hospitality or a similar supervisory role is an advantage.
• Relevant vocational training or education in hospitality, kitchen operations, or a related field is beneficial.
• Capacity to train and mentor team members and support a respectful, inclusive work environment.
