Role Description
The Tender & Foreign Purchasing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt.
This role is responsible for managing tender activities, including reviewing tender documents, preparing technical and commercial offers, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
The role also oversees foreign purchasing, including identifying and evaluating suppliers, issuing and tracking purchase orders, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials and equipment.
Daily tasks include market research, cost analysis, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and coordinating with logistics and finance teams to support smooth import processes. The engineer will collaborate closely with Cairo Office, Saudi Arabia projects managers and other stakeholders to align purchasing and tender activities with project requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management to handle end-to-end procurement activities efficiently.
• Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Planning and managing Purchase Orders to ensure timely sourcing, order placement, and delivery follow-up.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate offers, analyze costs, assess supplier performance, and support data-driven decisions.
• Relevant experience in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and dealing with foreign suppliers and international procurement is highly beneficial.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing mechanical and electrical solutions.
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( mechanic or electric ) is a must.
• Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field certified is preferred.
• Cairo residence is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams are important.
• Familiarity with import regulations, Incoterms, and logistics coordination, as well as proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement systems, is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English for communicating with international suppliers; proficiency in Arabic is beneficial.
