Role Description The Accountant role at HPA – High Performance Academy is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Accountant will be responsible for recording and reconciling daily financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, and preparing periodic financial reports. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flows, and assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis. The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, support internal and external audits, and collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, billing, and reconciliation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and basic financial planning.
• Ability to use accounting software and office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) effectively.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to analyze financial data accurately.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements in Egypt is highly beneficial.
