Today, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility. What are my responsibilities? Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE) to ensure safe and reliable operation. Support the installation, testing, commissioning, inspection and maintenance of mechanical systems and workshop equipment. Operate and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, carrying out repairs and corrective actions. Execute scheduled maintenance, equipment adjustments, alignment and calibration in accordance with maintenance plans and manufacturer recommendations. Monitor equipment condition, identify defects and report potential reliability issues. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and work orders using CMMS. Support spare-parts management by monitoring inventory and identifying material requirements. Provide technical support and assist in training maintenance personnel and equipment operators. Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability. Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, railway standards and workshop safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment across different project sites. What do I need to qualify for this job? Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance or an equivalent vocational qualification Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in railway, heavy industry, manufacturing or maintenance workshops. Experience with Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE), heavy machinery, lifting equipment or Rolling Stock (RST) maintenance is an advantage. Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; familiarity with turning equipment is an advantage. Experience in equipment installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical schematics and technical manuals. Familiarity with CMMS is preferred. English communication skills sufficient for technical instructions and safety reporting. What else do I need to know?
