Role overview

The precertification process lead will provide quality service to clients by promptly and effectively assessing and processing claims and approvals according to operational standards.

The process lead will evaluate complicated preauthorization claims, medical evaluations, direct claims coverage, errors, and claims turnaround times, and process queries to achieve quality evaluations. The role supervises the team with regard to productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine daily claims administration work.
• Coordinate workflows and meet deadlines.
• Evaluate claims with regard to eligibility.
• Make informed decisions on high-cost and complicated cases.
• Manage international preauthorization.
• Train and supervise team members.
• Attend calls and emails from insurance companies, clients, and providers.
• Coordinate with international providers for direct billing.
• Make suggestions to improve service.
• Increase efficiency while minimizing errors and administration time.
• Coordinate with different departments within the company.
• Monitor output.

AI readiness

Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics, and cloud-based tools. Use insights responsibly and follow standards for data governance, security, and ethical use.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Three or more years of medical practical experience. Experience with a reputable insurance provider, broker, or third-party administrator (TPA) is an advantage.
• Legally permitted to work in the country of operations.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as general internet navigation and research skills.
