The Role & Your Impact

As our Accounting Manager, you will take full ownership of our financial health. You will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring that every transaction is recorded with precision and every report reflects the true state of our retail performance. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing our ERP systems [Odoo] and streamlining our Finance workflows to support a high-volume retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a dedicated accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger maintenance.

• Oversee Inventory Accounting to ensure accurate stock valuation and minimize shrinkage in our retail operations.

• Drive the Budgeting process and provide monthly variance analysis to guide executive decision-making.

• Ensure full Tax Compliance and manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Leverage ERP technology to automate processes and enhance data accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a proven track record in a Manager or supervisory capacity.
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the Sales or Retail sector is highly preferred, specifically regarding inventory management and high-volume transactions.
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel is essential for success in this role.
• Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of Finance principles, Financial Reporting, and Internal Auditing standards.
• Leadership Skills: Strong Team Leadership abilities with a focus on Strategic Planning and process improvement.
