Job :

As part of the development of new automotive projects, we are looking for a Design Release Engineer (DRE) specializing in thermal engine components. You will be responsible for the technical management of the component from the design phase to its validation and production launch, in coordination with project teams, business units, and suppliers.

Main tasks:

• Collect and analyze all input data (vehicle architecture, functional, technical, and regulatory requirements).
• Write, manage, and get approval for the technical specifications of the components.
• Analyze technical proposals from suppliers and participate in the selection of chosen solutions.
• Ensure the technical management of engine components throughout the development cycle.
• Organize and lead design, integration, and validation reviews.
• Build and track the development schedule in line with project milestones.
• Ensure the application of the APQP process and compliance with product development procedures.
• Oversee testing, validation, and the handling of technical issues.
• Coordinate the various stakeholders involved (business units, projects, quality, purchasing, suppliers).
• Provide regular reporting on the progress of activities and associated risks.
• Contribute to achieving Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) objectives.

Required profile :

• Engineering degree in mechanical, automotive engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in the development of automotive mechanical components.
• Knowledge of the operation and architecture of thermal engines.
• Mastery of automotive product development processes (APQP, technical reviews, validation).
• Experience in supplier management and technical project management.
• Good communication skills in French and English.
