Position:
The Senior Project Manager's role involves carrying out and putting into action AUI's strategy for Faculty Development. This strategy is based on internationally recognized quality standards and practices, and includes a wide-ranging view that uses various development actions like training, sharing knowledge and experience, learning from peers, and adopting good practices. The goal is to involve faculty in a consistent and ongoing process of building skills, in line with the University's efforts in learning innovation. The Senior Project Manager is also expected to oversee the execution and implementation of AUI's strategies for integrating AI into teaching and learning, as well as for developing online courses and programs. This will be done following internationally recognized quality standards and practices.
Main Responsibilities:
Faculty development:
•Overseeing Faculty Development Workshops given by both internal and external trainers (including assessing needs, designing content, planning, managing logistics, and evaluating results).
•Organizing Faculty Development Events (such as talks, webinars, seminars, team-building activities, study days, retreats, etc.)
•Identifying and sharing international Faculty Development opportunities with faculty (for example, conferences, certificates, scholarships, etc.)
•Managing, editing, and publishing the AUI Faculty Chronicle.
•Communicating and promoting Faculty Development activities to attract faculty and ensure high levels of participation and involvement.
•Identifying and seeking partnership opportunities with international organizations (like Centers for Teaching & Learning, etc.)
•Reporting regularly and systematically on Faculty Development activities (using data, dashboards, etc.)
AI projects:
•Designing AI-driven educational projects to improve teaching and learning effectiveness across academic departments.
•Implementing AI solutions, tools, and platforms designed to support innovative learning, faculty development, and student engagement.
•Assessing the impact and results of AI projects through systematic data collection, performance analysis, and quality assurance checks.
Online course development:
•Encouraging a culture of online education and IT-based innovative learning among faculty and academic departments.
•Implementing effective training and development programs to support IT-based learning innovation.
•Providing timely support to faculty to ensure they efficiently adopt learning delivery and management tools (like Canvas, MS Teams, Coursera, etc.)
•Supporting faculty and academic departments in developing online courses and programs regarding instructional design, recording, delivery, and monitoring, in line with quality assurance requirements.
•Carrying out the technology upgrading plan, including classrooms, e-learning studios, and learning platforms and applications.
•Supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) by collecting data and preparing performance dashboards, including various aspects of learning.

Required profile :

Qualifications
Required: Master's degree or similar, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Preferred:
•Project management certification
•IT certifications Personal and Behavioral Characteristics/ skills(Proposed)
Knowledge and skills:
•Strong project management skills for professional development and online course creation.
•Good understanding of instructional design methods.
•Good understanding of Learning Management Systems and learning technologies.
•Good understanding of AI tools and solutions.
•Strong organizational and people skills.
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
•Strong customer service orientation.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products.
•Advanced language skills in English, French, and Arabic.
Abilities:
•Ability to set priorities, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
•Ability to learn quickly, listen actively, and work well in a team. •Ability to work effectively with university departments and different teams.
•Ability to work and deliver results on time.
