Canadian Accounting Assistant | Casablanca (Morocco)

Job :

As part of the recruitment for our client, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant to manage the daily accounting for Canadian clients.

Main tasks:

• Enter and code purchase invoices, sales invoices, and bank transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
• Reconcile and justify accounts for customers and suppliers.
• Participate in the accounting of salaries and social security contributions.
• Prepare Canadian tax returns (GST/QST).
• Prepare adjusting entries and participate in monthly closings.
• Contribute to the review of accounts and the preparation of financial reports.
• Follow up on client files and exchange necessary information to collect accounting documents.

Required profile :

Profile sought:

• Degree in accounting, finance, or management (Master's level).
• Experience in accounting, ideally in an accounting firm.
• Good command of the accounting cycle and ability to manage a file from start to finish.
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is highly desired.
• Very good level of French, both spoken and written.
• Diligence, autonomy, analytical thinking, and ability to learn.
