مهندس سحابة (Cloud Architect)

Main tasks:

The Cloud Sales Manager is the commercial engine of Cloud business development in Morocco. He/She manages the strategic client relationship, leads the Oracle/OneCloud partnership, orchestrates sales cycles and is responsible for achieving revenue targets within his/her scope.

1. Business development and pre-sales

To develop a portfolio of accounts and a clean pipeline, both directly and through alliances.

Strong contribution to responses to calls for tenders: response strategy, target architecture, cost estimation, accelerators, etc.

Facilitate client scoping workshops: cloud readiness, business case, TCO, roadmap

Contribute to the business objectives of the unit (sales, margin, utilization rate)

2. Project Management/Delivery of Cloud Transformation, Migration, and Technical Architecture Missions

Managing projects from start to finish: scope, planning, quality of deliverables, profit margin, customer satisfaction

Arbitrate the target architecture choices: landing zones, network, security, IAM, resilience and disaster recovery plan

Define workload migration strategies (assessment, wave planning, rehost / replatform / refactor)

Securing the customer relationship at the operational level and escalating risks at the right time

Define the sovereignty and data localization constraints specific to each client and each regulated sector

Translate the regulatory framework into enforceable architectural requirements: law 09-08 and CNDP directive, DGSSI directives, Bank Al-Maghrib circulars, etc.

Arbitrating the trajectories of data classification and workload placement between public cloud, sovereign cloud and on-premises

To position oneself as a key interface for the Cloud development business and vis-à-vis the technical departments on the client side (CIO, CISO, etc.).

3. Management, offerings and alliances

Contribute to recruitment and staffing

Contribute to the development of the skills development and certification plan for the department.

Industrialize reusable assets: migration accelerators, sovereign architecture repositories, etc.

PwC technical interface in partnership steering committees, including the Oracle OneCloud alliance

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and experience

Master's degree (Bac+5) - engineering school, university or equivalent in computer science or information systems

8-12 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure or IT transformation, including significant experience in a consulting firm, at an integrator or a hyperscaler

Proven experience in team management and in leading and delivering missions with full responsibility (scope, planning, margin)

Exposure demonstrated in regulated environments (banking, insurance, telecoms, energy or public sector) and to the associated compliance requirements.

Complex cloud migration programs from end to end

Proficiency in business development: proposal building, presentations, CIO and executive committee relations

Essential foundation

• Mastery of the Moroccan regulatory framework applicable to the cloud and ability to translate it into architectural decisions
• My in-depth mastery of at least one hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or OCI) and multicloud and hybrid reasoning
• Design of landing zones and cloud governance frameworks: well-architected, FinOps, cost management
• Security cloud: IAM, encryption and key management, posture management, logging and monitoring
• Infrastructure architecture and networks
• Infrastructure as Code and automation: Terraform, scripting, CI/CD chains
• Application migration strategies and modernization of legacy applications

• Knowledge of sovereign accommodation options and local Moroccan stakeholders
• Second mastery cloud platform, including OCI and Oracle Database / Exadata Cloud within the alliance
• Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes and associated managed services)
• Data platforms, application integration and event architectures
• IT architecture and governance frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL)

Certifications

• At least one professional-level Architect certification on a major hyperscaler
• Additional valued certifications: TOGAF, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, second cloud platform (AWS)
