Company and job description:

We are recruiting, on behalf of a banking and financial institution, a Senior Data Architect. In the context of a large-scale data transformation, you will strengthen the organization's data infrastructure and structure its target architecture, at the intersection of business, regulatory, and technological challenges.

Your responsibilities:

Architecture and design:

Design and evolve the organization's data architecture: decision-making platforms, data lake/lakehouse, data warehouse, Big Data solutions

Define the target architecture and the evolution trajectory (modernization, cloud or hybrid migration, streamlining of legacy systems)

Modeling the data (conceptual, logical, physical) and ensuring the consistency of the reference data

Standards and governance

Defining and disseminating data architecture standards, principles and best practices

Contributing to data governance: quality, traceability (lineage), catalog, security and regulatory compliance

To arbitrate technological choices and provide input to architectural committees

Team support

Advising business teams on formalizing their data and analytical needs

Supporting technical teams (data engineers, BI, developers) in the implementation of solutions

Review solution designs and ensure their alignment with the target architecture

To monitor technological developments in the data ecosystem

Profile :

Master's degree (Bac+5) from a top engineering school

8 to 12 years of experience in designing data architectures, decision-making platforms, or Big Data solutions

Experience ideally gained in the banking or financial sector

Solid understanding of modern data architectures (ETL/ELT, streaming, data lake, data warehouse, APIs) and cloud environments

Good knowledge of data ecosystem tools (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS or GCP, BI tools)

Sensitivity to regulatory and governance frameworks: protection of personal data, reporting requirements and risk management

Ability to simplify technical topics for business stakeholders and to engage teams

Rigour, analytical skills and influential leadership

Proficiency in French
