JOB DESCRIPTION:

One of the largest wood manufacturing factories in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator to join its factory team in Dammam.

The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience preparing complete and accurate cost estimates for furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, architectural joinery, and fire-rated wooden doors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and client requirements.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and complete cost estimates for joinery and wooden products.

• Estimate materials, hardware, accessories, finishes, labour, machinery time, wastage, subcontracting, transportation, and installation costs.

• Prepare estimates for furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, architectural joinery, and fire-rated wooden doors.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare detailed cost sheets, commercial quotations, clarifications, exclusions, and pricing summaries.

• Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, sales, project, and installation teams.

• Identify technical, commercial, and production risks before submitting quotations.

• Ensure fire-rated door estimates comply with project specifications, approved systems, required ratings, and certified hardware.

• Recommend value-engineering alternatives without compromising quality or technical compliance.

• Maintain updated material prices, labour rates, production costs, and supplier information.

• Support the sales team during quotation revisions and commercial negotiations.

• Hand over awarded projects to the production and project teams with complete costing details.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on estimation experience in joinery or wood manufacturing.

• Proven experience estimating ALL of the following: furniture, wooden doors, kitchens, wardrobes, and fire-rated wooden doors.

• Ability to independently prepare complete estimates, quantity take-offs, cost sheets, and commercial quotations.

• Strong knowledge of wood materials, hardware, finishes, labour requirements, manufacturing processes, wastage, and installation costs.

• Practical experience reviewing architectural drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimation calculations.

• Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Dammam.

Candidates who do not meet all the above requirements will not be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

• Experience using AutoCAD, ERP systems, or estimation software.

• Knowledge of value engineering and commercial tendering.

• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
