Sourcing Manager China & Global Markets

Role Overview

Mogi I/O is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities for machinery, equipment, structural components, and related products. This full-time role focuses on identifying reliable international suppliers, particularly within China, negotiating competitive commercial terms, ensuring quality, and managing end-to-end sourcing activities across global markets. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers across China and other global markets.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities from supplier identification and purchase orders through final delivery.
• Build and maintain strong long-term supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, operations, finance, and quality teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Ensure sourced machinery, equipment, and structural components meet required quality and technical specifications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate vendors, and process improvements.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, technologies, and sourcing opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality, and commercial terms.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to international sourcing, logistics, quality, and supply disruptions.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, sourcing documentation, contracts, and performance reports.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing activities, supplier performance, costs, and savings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience sourcing machinery, equipment, or structural components from China and other international markets.
• Strong knowledge of the Chinese supplier and manufacturing ecosystem.
• Experience in sourcing heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or structural components is highly desirable.
• Experience in the amusement ride/outdoor entertainment industry will be a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of international logistics, import processes, and customs procedures.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality and compliance requirements.
• Good understanding of Chinese business culture and negotiation practices.
