Job description

A new luxury specialty coffee concept is building its founding team in Riyadh.

We are not opening another café. We are building a service ritual: guests are recognised, their usual is remembered, and every cup is delivered like it belongs to them. We need people who take coffee seriously, take hospitality more seriously, and want to help define a standard from day one.

This posting covers our opening team and a talent pool for future positions as we grow.

Open roles:

• Specialty Barista (Senior & Mid-level)

• Cashier / Guest Host

• Certified Coffee Trainer (Training Lead)

Specialty Barista: key responsibilities:

• Dial in espresso and filter recipes daily; keep extraction consistent across every shift

• Prepare espresso, manual brew and signature drinks to exact spec and presentation standards

• Remember regular guests’ preferences and confirm them quickly and accurately

• Keep the bar, grinders and machines spotless and calibrated

• Handle high-volume peaks without dropping quality or warmth

Cashier / Guest Host: key responsibilities:

• Be the first impression: greet, recognise returning guests, and guide new ones

• Take orders accurately on POS and digital systems (Apple Pay, wallet passes, QR)

• Manage the flow between counter, bar and pickup so no guest waits unseen

• Handle cash, reconciliation and end-of-shift reports with zero discrepancy

• Capture guest notes and preferences accurately in our system

Certified Coffee Trainer: key responsibilities:

• Build and deliver our barista training program, onboarding and recurring skills checks

• Set and audit recipe, calibration and service standards

• Train front-of-house on hospitality, recognition and guest experience standards

• Lead cuppings, quality control and new-menu development with the coffee team

• Prepare team members for SCA certifications and competitions

Working hours: Rotating morning and evening shifts, 6 days per week, in line with Saudi Labor Law.

Ideal candidates:

• Baristas who can demonstrate espresso calibration and latte art during a practical bar trial

• Trainers with a training portfolio or structured onboarding program they have built before

• Hosts who are confident, warm and fluent in Arabic and English

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a practical trial at our training bar.

Skills

• 2+ years in specialty coffee (baristas); 4+ years with formal training experience (trainers)

• SCA certifications preferred: Barista Skills Intermediate/Professional, Brewing, Sensory. Authorized SCA Trainer (AST) or Q Grader is a strong plus for trainers

• Strong espresso calibration, milk texturing and latte art

• Manual brewing (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, batch brew)

• Excellent guest communication in Arabic and English

• POS, cash handling and digital payment experience (cashiers)

• Valid municipality health certificate (شهادة صحية), or the ability to obtain one

• Competition experience (e.g. Saudi Barista Championship) is a plus

• Calm under pressure, obsessive about detail, proud of consistency
