Role Summary:
Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the FMCG section, ensuring product availability, correct merchandising, stock accuracy, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide FMCG section staff during daily operations.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, properly arranged, and products are correctly displayed.
• Monitor product availability, stock levels, expiry dates, and FIFO/FEFO implementation.
• Coordinate replenishment from the backstore to the selling area.
• Monitor sales performance and support the achievement of department targets.
• Ensure prices, promotions, and product labels are accurate and updated.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, hygiene, and cleanliness within the section.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, and near-expiry products and take appropriate action.
• Support stock counts and inventory accuracy.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Ensure team members follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Report operational issues and stock shortages to the Department Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of retail/FMCG experience, preferably within hypermarkets or supermarkets.
• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, Section Supervisor, or Senior Sales Associate is preferred.
• Good knowledge of FMCG categories such as grocery, food, beverages, household, and personal care.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good understanding of stock management, replenishment, merchandising, FIFO/FEFO, and inventory control.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Flexible to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
