About the Role

AMAD Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Administrator Patient Access to join its Admissions team. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role serves as the initial point of contact for patients and their relatives, providing essential administrative, reception, and clerical services that support the hospital's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to support program and service development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Greet patients, relatives, staff, and visitors professionally and courteously.
• Communicate with patients and relatives in person and by phone, confirming appointment information and responding to inquiries directly or by forwarding them to the appropriate team.
• Promote harmonious relations with medical, nursing, allied health, and administrative professionals.
• Identify patients and collect accurate registration and admission information.
• Register patients in the Computerized Hospital Information System (HIS) by entering demographic and clinical data according to departmental policies.
• Update patient details and manage patient movement and discharge processes within the HIS.
• Generate patient wristbands, labels, and forms from the HIS, affixing wristbands and distributing labels and forms to patient care areas.
• Pre-register patients for elective Day Care Admissions in the HIS and confirm OR Booking Lists with Scheduled Admission lists, resolving any discrepancies.
• Schedule new patient appointments and make inpatient and clinic follow-up appointments in the HIS, adhering to clinic standards for appointment type, duration, and resource codes.
• Reschedule, modify, and cancel appointments in the system while adhering to clinical team requirements.
• Organize clinic appointment lists to maximize physicians’ clinic time daily.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant administrative or patient access role.
• Proficiency in using computerized Hospital Information Systems (HIS).

Required Skills

• Excellent customer care and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Work Environment

This role is based at AMAD Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates within the Admissions team. The position requires interaction with patients, relatives, and various hospital staff members in a dynamic healthcare setting.
