About the Role
MIS - Al Moammar Information Systems Co. is seeking a Power BI Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing and managing robust Power BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources, including databases, Excel, ERP/CRM systems, and APIs.
- Build and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX, adhering to best practices such as star schema modeling.
- Design and develop interactive, visually appealing, and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Analyze data, identify trends and actionable insights, and present recommendations to management.
- Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including access permissions, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled refreshes.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality, and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, metrics, and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and RLS.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong skills in data visualization, stakeholder management, and time management.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Python or R and fundamental statistical concepts.
