Job Location: County Meath, Ireland Salary: €70,000 – €80,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time Work Permit: Critical Skills Employment Permit (subject to eligibility) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller for an established and growing business in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall finance function, overseeing financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's overall finance and accounting operations.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and annual budgets.

• Manage cash flow, financial forecasting and banking relationships.

• Monitor profitability, project costs and financial performance.

• Oversee VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, RCT and statutory compliance.

• Supervise payroll operations and finance administration staff.

• Develop financial controls, reporting systems and operational efficiencies.

• Coordinate with external auditors, accountants and professional advisors.

• Support senior management with financial planning and strategic decisions.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller in a similar role.

• Professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

• Excellent understanding of financial management and statutory compliance.

• Proven leadership and team management experience.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in construction, civil engineering, plant hire, quarrying or haulage will be an advantage.

Employment Permit & Immigration
