The Role of Senior BIM Coordinator
The Senior BIM Coordinator is responsible for the management, coordination, and maintenance of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across multi-disciplinary design and construction teams. This full-time role ensures that project deliverables comply with BIM standards, client requirements, and industry best practices, while fostering collaboration among designers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities

Lead coordination meetings with project stakeholders to identify, track, and resolve design clashes.
Manage model federation, clash detection, and reporting using BIM collaboration platforms.
Ensure BIM models are developed and maintained according to project execution plans and client requirements.
Oversee model quality control, audits, and compliance with company BIM standards.
Implement and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
Maintain BIM documentation, protocols, and workflows aligned with ISO 19650 and company standards.
Support digital handover and asset data integration for Facility Management (FM) or GIS systems.
Work with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other BIM-authoring software to review and coordinate models.
Support design teams in model setup, worksharing, and troubleshooting.
Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to BIM modelers and coordinators.
Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and contractors to align BIM deliverables with project needs.
Utilize collaboration tools (*, BIM 360, ACC) to manage design data.
Ensure correct use of BIM libraries, templates, and object standards.
Prepare coordination reports, clash detection logs, and issue-tracking dashboards.
Ensure timely submission of federated models, COBie data, drawings, and 4D/5D outputs (if required).
Monitor and create dashboard reports for project BIM progress, risks, and compliance for the BIM Manager / Project Manager.
